Marking transformed
See the difference Marky makes to a typical teacher's week.
Without Marky
- ✗ Approximately 5 hours marking a class set of papers by hand
- ✗ Inconsistent marking across 30 papers
- ✗ Generic feedback: "needs improvement"
- ✗ No analytics so you guess which topics need work
- ✗ Weekends and evenings lost to the marking pile
With Marky
- ✓ Approximately one hour for a class set of 30, or 15 minutes for a single paper on demand
- ✓ The same mark scheme applied consistently to every paper, without fatigue or drift
- ✓ Detailed, personalised feedback per question
- ✓ Instant analytics so you see exactly where gaps are
- ✓ Get your evenings back and spend time planning, not marking
Upload Mark Scheme & Papers
Upload the mark scheme first, then the class set. Scan the papers or photograph them on a phone: PDFs and images both work, with no conversion needed.
AI Marks Every Answer
Our AI reads each answer, compares it against the mark scheme criteria, and assigns marks, as a trained examiner would.
Review & Share
Get detailed results with scores, grades, and feedback. Share with students through the portal or export reports for parents and leadership.

How marking accuracy is verified
Every mark is measured against examiner marking, independently verified, and returned with the reasoning attached.
and 92.4% marked exactly
Measured against examiner marks
Across 3,276 question sections marked by a verified examiner, spanning GCSE and AS mathematics and A-level physics, 99.8% of Marky’s marks fall within two marks of the examiner’s, 98.9% within one, and 92.4% match exactly. At AS and A-level, every section falls within two marks. Section counts are published because a percentage without a denominator is not evidence.
applied to every paper
Two independent marking passes
A second verification pass re-reads the paper against the mark scheme and challenges the first set of marks. Disagreements between the two passes are resolved before the mark is released, and the reasoning remains attached to the question.
each with a stated reason
Targeted review, with stated reasons
Rather than requiring a review of every paper, Marky identifies those warranting human attention and states why. The reason may be a mark near a grade boundary, handwriting that could not be read confidently, a possible integrity concern, disagreement between marking passes, arbitration, or wide variance. The remainder can be signed off as returned.
The most relevant benchmark is your own. During the 3-day trial, submit a set of papers you have already marked and compare the results question by question against your specification and your students’ handwriting.
